Sun Canopy is the most dynamic and versatile shade system in the world! Its modular design replaces custom and rigid shade products with an infinitely versatile, adaptable and customizable shade system.
The structural components of SHADEMASTER Canopy are made from highest quality marine grade stainless steel and anodized aluminum for high performance under the harshest conditions. SHADEMASTER Canopy’s aluminum profile is the centerpiece of the system. It is strong, light weight and has multiple channels to hold the canopy’s components together. For long canopies, multiple hook and base pairs can attach anywhere along its length allowing connection to multiple cables regardless of their location. The profile holds the panels securely and can withstand strong winds yet allowing the panels to install and be replaced within minutes.
These canopies use individual fabric panels that can be easily interchanged within minutes with panels of different color and fabric to create an infinite number of beautiful and unique designs to meet any taste, mood and design need. Canopies can be configured in one or multiple colors and modified even after installation to create new designs for any taste, style and need.

ADDING A FIXED ROOF STRUCTURE TO PROTECT A PATIO
This home is located on Vina Del Mar Island, at the southern tip of St Petersburg, FL. As you can see in the first photo, the house has a nice courtyard with a pool, and the patio space back of the pool deck and nearest the wall has been transformed into a dining area by the owners. The problem was the exposure to the sun and to the wind. The choice of a fixed roof structure was the best option to cover the dining area and protect it from the sun, but the structure had to be anchored very strongly to the existing masonry and carpentry to make it hurricane-proof. You can see in the second photo how we anchored it to the existing carpentry. On its under side, it is also anchored to the wall masonry, and to the deck itself with a column dug and cemented into the ground. This fixed roof structure enables the owners to entertain guests outside all year round. It is much stronger than retractable awnings. In this example of our work, you can see retractable screens in the back of the pool cage. These screens are motorized and can be raised and lowered at the flick of a switch. The house is located in Plant City, FL. Our client wanted to shield the patio in the back of the pool cage for a couple of reasons: 1- When it rained, the pool cage would only limit the volume of rain coming into the patio area, not eliminate it completely. After each monsoon, their patio furniture was wet. And during a shower, their family could not stay outside without getting rained on. 2- During summer, the sun would directly fall on the patio during the day, making it too warm to stay outside and enjoy the pool cage. Our clients didn’t like the UV exposure either. These retractable progressive screens are a great solution to address both concerns, as they stop the rain, filter the sunlight, and provide a cooler area during the day. We just finished building this smart pergola structure. It features pivoting louvers that can be opened or closed, either to let the sun in or to protect from it. In the closed position, the louvers also protect from the rain. This is an elegant solution to extend the time you can spend outdoors with your family and guests. Note the presence of super-gutters on each side of the structure: they help channeling rainwater coming down the roof to the side and into the ground, rather than letting it flow over the louvers. Not only is it better for the louver mechanism, but it also avoid water, dirt, dust and leaves staying on top of the louvers with the risk of mildew growth and difficult clean-ups.
